Travertine is prone to holes and pitting, due to is honey- comb structure. Over time, with wear and foot abrasion, holes will begin to appear. Using a specialist system these holes can be filled using a very strong two part filler. Colours are matched on site by our technician to get the exact colour to match your stone. Once filled the repairs are smoothed down to finish these near invisible repairs.
As Travertine is one of the softer stones used to tile floors and walls, over time, high traffic areas can lose its shine. To regain its shine, the tiles have to be polished using complex diamond abrasives. These vary in grits and the smoother they become, the deeper the shine. Our technicians can create any finish you want, from a dull honed finish, to a perfect mirror finish
Step 1 - Deep clean the tiles and grout
Step 2 - Fill / repair any holes, pitts and cracks
Step 3 - Diamond grind the floor removing any damage or scratches
Step 4 - Diamond polish the floor to create a finish of your choice
Step 5 - Seal the floor to prevent further staining
